The Midnight Hour

A Backward Glance During The Midnight Hour
4/27/08

At this midnight hour preparations are being made for upcoming Mystery And Manners features. Looking back over the past couple of months Mystery And Manners covered some interesting terrain such as Jim Dickinson, Luther Dickinson, Widespread Panic, The Black Crowes, William Tonks, David Barbe, The Drive By Truckers, John Sayles, Tom Petty and Ray McKinnon.

Other topics such as Sam Shepard, Stanley Booth, Sam Peckinpah and Cormac McCarthy will be revisited soon. In May, a slew of southern musicians will perform at Topanga Days in California. Some of the performers include Jim Lauderdale, James Burton, Al Perkins, Jonathan Wilson, Gary Louris and other special guests.

The rain pours outside…sweet relief for an already warm and dry April. The new Mudcrutch record plays in the background. This photograph was taken by the great southern photographer William Eggleston.

More later,

James Calemine
