The 11th Annual George Lindsey Film Festival was held down in Florence, Alabama last week. I can say from experience, the Festival is more fun than a barrel of Goobers. The year I attended, I met George Lindsey and we featured a fun interview with the former star of The Andy Griffith Show and Hee Haw. (As an aside, during the festival I also met and interviewed a really great talent from Florence named Peanutt Montgomery, songwriting partner of the legendary George Jones.)
I have to say, I wish I could have been there this year, especilly considering the guest of honor was our friend Billy Bob Thornton. As it turned out, my friend and Gritz contributor Rick Broyles was there, as well as Swampland's own Penne Elk. Read her interview with Billy Bob here.
Sounds like everyone had a great time. Check out Penne's interview, and be sure to read all the other cool stuff in her Rivervue section of Swampland.
Keep it Real. Keep it Southern.

Sure hope to meet Billy Bob some day. Seems like a cool guy. I read the interview in river view. Very cool. I have been enjoying her stuff as well as James too. Thanks for turning me onto them. Don't much care for sports though football and all but I do like racing!
