Volunteer Jam Tour 2008 Wraps Up With Surprise Appearance By The Outlaws

The 2008 Volunteer Jam tour wrapped up on August 15th in Alpharetta, Georgia. This year's dates featured hosts The Charlie Daniels Band, along with 38 Special, Shooter Jennings, and a special appearance by The Outlaws at the final show.

The Volunteer Jam started in 1974 when Daniels decided to record two songs live in concert and chose the War Memorial auditorium in Nashville for the recording. Daniels invited a few friends to join him and in a nod to the Volunteer State, he called the concert the Volunteer Jam.
