Cowboy is back in the studio at Duck Tape Studios with Johnny Sandlin this weekend, recording more material for their upcoming new album. In the studio for round two are Scott Boyer, Tommy Talton, drummer Bill Stewart, bassist David Hood, multi-instrumentalist Randall Bramblett and guitarist Rick Hirsch.
According to Talton, the sessions are going well. Thursday brought the recording of a Talton/Boyer song called "Y'all Ought to Fall in Love," Boyer's "The Sun's Gonna Shine Again," and Talton's "Throw a Little Love My Way."
Talton tells us that Friday's agenda includes the recording of a Randall Bramblett tune called "I Just Don't Get it," and "Let it Rain," written by Rick Hirsch.
The band will be in the studio through Sunday, and will be adding these songs to the tunes they recorded with the original Cowboy lineup for an album due this Spring. Look for session photos coming soon to GRITZ.
Keep it Real. Keep it Southern.
