Greetings fellow babies. It's Superbowl Sunday and I am chilling on the sofa with a cold brewskie waiting to see New England and New York play, wishing it was my Panthers...
I am really looking forward to Tom Petty performing at the halftime show. I was talking to James Calemine the other night (who writes the Mystery & Manners section of Swampland) and he said he might write a blog about Tom Petty. What a great idea. I hope he does because Tom rocks.
It's almost like a few years ago when all the Southern rockers played the Super Bowl in Florida. Petty is a good ol' boy. Florida's own. Heck, he's a Southern rocker in my book. Should be a good show. Light years from the halftime shows of the past like Janet Jackson and her breast, Michael Jackson and his cosmetic surgery, and all the other lame-o productions.
Enjoy the game, and may the best team win. My prediction, New England in a perfect season, Tom Brady makes history. We will see.
Keep it Real. Keep it Southern.

Talk about a Southern Super Bowl. Let's hear it for Eli Manning (and Tom Petty). The South rules. :-)
