“Terrapin’s Georgia Theatre Sessions”
The Athens, Georgia-based brewery—Terrapin Beer Company—is releasing a new series of brew that will only be available in Georgia. Funds generated from “Terrapin’s Georgia Theatre Sessions” series will go to aid the rebuilding of the venerable music theatre that burned down last summer.
“Athens is a small community and we all stick together,” said Terrapin co-owner Spike Buckowski. “It’s natural that we would be here to help in the reconstruction of the Theatre.” John Cochran (Terrapin co-owner) revealed: “Plans for these beers really began the day of the fire. We wanted to make a focused and significant contribution. We wanted to help in a way that only Terrapin could.”
Each of the four distinct brews will be in a sealed box that contains a golden ticket. The 'Golden Ticket' will be a lifetime pass to the rebuilt Georgia Theatre events. Last month, “The Iron Tankard Old Stock Ale” served as the first Terrapin/Georgia Theatre series. The next series arrives in June.
