The Winters Brothers Band’s 1978 album Coast to Coast is now available on CD, and includes bonus acoustic tracks and much more. The album, originally recorded at Capricorn Studios during the hey day of Southern Rock was produced by Paul Hornsby, and features guest appearances by Toy Caldwell, Charlie Daniels, Marty Robbins and “Papa” Don Winters, Sr.

“A Gun Don’t Mind” is a standout track, with the late Toy Caldwell on pedal steel guitar, and some masterful Southern jamming from Dennis and Donnie Winters. The whole album is filled with classics like “Lies, Lies, Lies,” “Carolina,” and the hoe down fun of “Homegrown.”

There are radio station ID’s, bloopers and more fun from 1978, as well as rare acoustic performances including “Force of Love,” and there is a hidden bonus track recorded in 2007. Loads of good Southern music from a band that continues to to tour and record to this very day, the very excellent Winters Brothers Band.
