On My Way to You

Florida export Daniel Lee Martin is different. He fits into the mold of the Nashville country formula, but at the same time, he has a uniqueness that sets him apart from the flavor of the moment. It’s his personality. Ask anyone who has met him. I have, down in the Sunshine State, and he was just a great, witty, funny, guy who can burn up a stage with a george Strait like quality.  A terrific personality that shines through in his music.

All sixteen songs here, written mainly by Nashville writers, are winners, and Martin's sole original, "Moonshine Momma," is a witty vision of a moonshiner who is easy on the eye.

His slow rendition of John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads" and a cover of the Georgia Satellites "Keep Your Hands to Yourself," reworked as a swampy blues number, are both fan favorites that are now available on record.

There’s a commitment in Martin’s music that you can just feel in your soul. A commitment that drove him during countless late-night road gigs, a Wal-Mart tour and various and sundry personal upheavals. And that is what sets him apart from the rest of cowboy hats in Nashville. A true original.
