I just want everyone to know Jimmie has done it again! Yes he came back to Kinston, NC to help with yet another benefit. Of course if you every listen to the Jimmie Van Zant Band, you will be hooked. His band and music is right on time. If you are still a lover of pure southern rock music you need to hear JVZ’s music. He keeps our southern heritage music alive. He sings and performs with so much love and conviction that you can’t help but flow right into it. I will admit I have become a fan of Jimmie’s music and not to take one thing away from his music, but I’ve become more of a JVZ fan because of the man he his. I have had the pleasure and honor of spending time with Jimmie and listen to what he believes in and how he looks at life. The man is amazing; he has the best outlook and strong beliefs in life. He not only has a passion for his music, but for life in general. He and his wonderful wife Zee are just great down to earth people. He truly has his feet planted firmly on the ground. He seems to know just what direction he wants to go in life. I was actually down about something this past weekend and by the time I finished listening to Jimmie and his views on what my problem was, he seemed to make me see what it was really all about. If you have the chance go see Jimmie play ,take a few minutes to meet the man. Thanks Jimmie for being the “Man” and being a friend! There are hero’s left in the world.
