Gritz began life over 11 years ago as a web magazine. The brainchild of South Carolina writer and musician Michael Buffalo Smith, the magazine was the original home of "all things Southern Rock," and even appeared as a print publication for a couple of years in the early 21st century. Because of his associations with the stars of the musical genre, he has become known as "The Ambassador of Southern Rock, " a title he is happy to accept. Today, Gritz has found a new home at Swampland.com, with Buffalo (aka: "The Gritz Man") writing daily blogs about his life inside the world of Southern Rock and Country music, as well as contributing Features and Interviews to Swampland. You can always drop Buffalo a line at michaelbuffalo@swampland.com.
