We at GRITZ are extremely honored to present our second guest blog from Alabama writer/photographer/music mogul Dick Cooper. This time, it is personal, as Cooper writes from the heart about the late Jerry Wexler, a friend who had a profound effect on him from the time they first met.
Cooper recalls the fun times at Muscle Shoals Sound, working and just hanging out with the iconic Wexler, and even loans us a couple of special photographs.
I highly recommend this article. It is the real deal.
Keep it Real. Keep it Southern.

I just read Dick's article. Thank you so much for posting it. Wexler was a true hero of mine and Dick summed it all up.
