21st Bridge School Benefit Hosts Various Musicians
10/27/07

In light of a Mystery & Manners visit to San Francisco in several days for studies on southern folklore in the west, Neil and Pegi Young hosting their 21st Annual Bridge School Benefit there this weekend proves newsworthy since several southern musicians will perform. This year's musical appearances by Tom Waits & the Kronos Quartet, the great Jerry Lee Lewis, Kentuckians My Morning Jacket, John Mayer, Neil Young and various others complete the roster. Neil Young's wife, Pegi, started this organization in 1986 to assist severely impaired children. Over the years, The Bridge School has raised millions of dollars. This should prove an interesting musical evening for a good cause.

James - It was an interesting musical evening, indeed. MMJ took home Rookie of the Year honors, as far as I'm concerned. Neil's set was engaging if not exemplary. Seeing Jerry Lee play the piano was like going to church. Seeing Tom Waits perform live changed my life. I'm not sure how. I'll get back to you on that one...
