Posted: Dec 24, 2006

12/24/06

On December 28, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band plays an intimate gig at George Street Grocery in Jackson, Mississippi. The next night, The Dirty Dozen lights up Tipitina's in their hometown of New Orleans.  New Years Eve finds the group in the beautiful Arizona desert at the Orpheum Theatre in Flagstaff.
After Jam Cruise 5, a multi-act festival at sea, the Dirty Dozen's tour dates continue through February. In March, they travel to Belgium and then it's back to their home state of Louisiana for the dawn of the Crescent City's jazz season...James Calemine

Hey Miranda,
Not naive at all...but no, The Even Dozen Jug Band originated out of a Memphis folk-rock-acoustic realm, whereas The Dirty Dozen Brass Band play a deep jazz music born in New Orleans...JC

Miranda says...

Naive question maybe. But. . . Any relation of The Even Dozen Jug Band circa '60's? Or would that be too odd?
