Southern Rockers Come Together To Help Others in North Carolina

Posted: Nov 30, 2008

Well, it's that time of year again. The time when we stop to give thanks for our lives, our health and family and friends. It's a perfect time to reflect on the recent benefit show put together by some big hearted people in North Carolina, including GRITZ friends Darlene "Ms. Rebyll" Stevens and Dewayne "Rebyll" Fields. The couple, along with a whole lot of friends and co-workers, staged a benefit concert for Timmy and Hannah recently, and the results were nothing short of heart warming.

Timmy is a volunteer fireman who suffered severe burns in an accident, while Hannah is an infant plagued by a series of severe health issues. Read all about both of them on the website timmyandhannah.com.

Darlene contributed an article for GRITZ that tells all about the big outdoor show, poker run and exra special guest star who showed up and gave 110 percent from the heart. Check out her article here.

People helping other people. That's what it's all about. We tip our hat to the Rebylls, the volunteers, the bands and to Jimmie Van Zant and company. Y'all helped to make some people's holidays a little brighter.

Keep it Real. Keep it Southern.

Jimmie did a good thing. All the people should be proud to have helped others in need.
