Big 12 Daily Fever: Beyond The Red River Rivalry

Most of the attention in Big 12 country this week will be on the Red River Rivalry, but there are two other league games that will go a long way in defining the conference season.

Nebraska will try to play ball control offense versus a high octane Texas Tech club, while Missouri will try to rebound against an Oklahoma State bunch that is missing their best player.

In recent years, the league has often been perceived as the “Big 2” and everyone else. The Cornhuskers and Cowboys are currently ranked, but both suffered early non-conference losses. The Red Raiders and Tigers have shown they will still be a factor in the league even after losing a star quarterback and receiver.

Whoever prevails on Saturday will get their shot at being a player for the league crown and at proving that the Big 12 is not just the Big 2.
