Big 12 Daily Fever: Texas A&M's Late Collapse Endangers Postseason Hopes

Mike Sherman’s club entered the Colorado game having won two in a row and seemed ready to make it three with an eleven-point lead at the half. However, Texas A&M blew a ten-point lead in the last eight minutes, and now the Aggies’ hopes of a bowl game remain in question. It was especially frustrating for A&M that their defense could not hold the league’s worst ranked offense from the improbable comeback and 35-34 loss.

With five wins, the Aggies will need to win one more game against a schedule of Oklahoma, Baylor, and the Thanksgiving finale versus #2 Texas. Obviously the best shot for A&M will be the home game with Baylor, but the Bears showed their improvement Saturday with a 40-32 win at Missouri.

Missing out on the postseason would be a devastating blow to Sherman’s bunch, especially in a season that currently sees only two Big 12 teams ranked in the polls.
