This morning Texas judge Becky Dean-Walker said she would not accept Willie Nelson's mailed-in plea agreement based on a 2010 marijuana bust.
Dean-Walker believes county attorney, Kit Bramblett, was giving Nelson preferential treatment due to his celebrity. "He's supposed to file the charge he feels is appropriate," Dean-Walker told the New York Times this morning. "Not what he feels he should do for his favorite singer. It is up to the judge to agree or not..."
The article indicates the judge insists Nelson will pay to the fullest extent for his bust. Man, they're really stompin' out crime...
