Ike Stubblefield In 2012

Ike Stubblefield knows his way around a keyboard. He commands respect in the music business. Ike has played keyboards for The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, The Temptations, George Benson, B.B. King, Ike & Tina Turner, Curtis Mayfield, The Jerry Garcia Band, Stevie Wonder, Jeff Sipe, Boz Scaggs, Blind Boys of Alabama, Ruthie Foster, George Porter Jr., Rare Earth, Al Green, Eric Clapton, Derek Trucks, Col. Bruce Hampton, Jimmy Herring and Susan Tedeschi to name a few as well as scoring music for films and TV.

Ike moved to Athens, Georgia, recently, and 2012 looks to be a busy year for him. On Wednesday evening he performed with The Dirty Dozen Brass Band in New Orleans. He's in the Crescent City until Monday. He called me this morning from there, and wanted to let me know he looks forward to seeing everyone soon.

On February 24, Ike performs at the University of Idaho's Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival. He's also polishing studio material for release. Upcoming Ike Stubblefield interview on the way...
