Spinning Darius Rucker's Hootie New Country Album

There was a bar here in Greenville for a number of years called Al's Pumphouse, and they always had some good music going on. Everything from Toy Caldwell to Tinsley Ellis, a 12-year old Derek Trucks and an up an coming band out of Columbia called Hootie and The Blowfish, who would soon rule the world with one of the hottest albums in pop music history.

I went over to Al's many times, and saw many a Hootie show there. Darius Rucker sang everything from Beatles to George Jones. He could really nail some country vocals. That's why I was excited about his first ever country record, and it's a good one. Check out my review, and check out Learn to Live. You'll be glad you did.

Keep it Real. Keep it Southern.
