1/1/07

On Tony Joe White's latest CD, Uncovered, he renders new versions of "Rainy Night in Georgia", "Did Somebody Make a Fool Out of You", and "Taking the Midnight Train", as well as seven new compositions. Musicians such as Elvis Presley, Tina Turner, Brook Benton, Tom Jones, Ray Charles, Tim McGraw, and Hank Williams Jr. all recorded versions of White's gritty songs.

Recorded in Nashville on White's new Swamp Records label, J.J. Cale, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Michael McDonald, and a duet with the late Waylon Jennings mark Uncovered as another essential release in White's formidable discography. White plans to play various shows in support of the new album in 2007. www.tonyjoewhite.com
