Luther Dickinson Flies With The Black Crowes

Luther Dickinson Flies With The Black Crowes
9/17/07

The North Mississippi All-Stars guitarist Luther Dickinson served as The Black Crowes lead guitarist last night in Colorado at the Telluride Brews & Blues Festival. The Crowes invited Dickinson to play on their new album recorded in New York earlier this year.

Dickinson has been friends with the Crowes for years. Chris Robinson sang on the NMAS live CD, Hill Country Revue. Luther and Rich Robinson played some shows earlier this year together as Circle Sound. The NMAS opened various shows for the Black Crowes for the past several years.

Dickinson sat in for the Crowes' current guitarist Paul Stacey--a replacement for Marc Ford who quit the Crowes last year. The dust of rumor circulating insinuates Dickinson will serve as the Black Crowes new guitarist. No official word has been released on these developments. Stay tuned...
