Blackfoot is Our Latest "Legends of Southern Rock" Entry
"Highway Song" and "Train, Train," "Gimmie, Gimmie, Gimmie" and "Wishing Well"- all of these bring to mind the fierce, four man attack of Blackfoot - wildman Rick Medlocke out front, Charlie Hargrett on lead guitar, Greg T. Walker on bass and "Thunderfoot" Jakson Spires on drums. Blackfoot was one of Southern Rock's heaviest bands, considered by many to actually be a heavy metal band. The hard rocking band continues on these days with two of the original members, carrying the Blackfoot banner o a new generation of fans.
Blackfoot is our latest entry in Swampland's "GRITZ Legends of Southern Rock" series.

Great and informative article on Blackfoot. Highway Song is one of my all time favorite songs. Great band.
