Gates Nichols of Confederate Railroad Loses Battle with Cancer

Posted: Aug 15, 2009

We are saddened to report that Gates Nichols of Confederate Railroad has lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. Gates passed away yesterday, August 14, 2009, at his home in Georgia. He was 65.

Gates was just diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago, as reported earlier.

Confederate Railroad became one of the hottest bands of the  '90s by blending Southern rock and country, charting with hits like  "Jesus and Mama" and "Trashy Women," among others. The band was also famous for serving for a while as David Allan Coe's backing band.

Gates had retired from the group on New Year's Eve, but continued playing music, performing in the praise band at their church.

Gates was also a staple at the yearly Angelus Benefit in Tampa, Florida.

flashing lights says...

A very common use of a strobe light today is in emergency vehicles, especially when the light needs to be fitted in a concealed manner. A police light can be fitted as a hideaway light into the headlight of a vehicle and will be completely invisible till it is activated. flashing lights are also extensively used in off-road car shows where multicolored strobes are used on cars to produce moving lights that can go up and down, to keep beat with the rhythm of the background music.Everyone need a wholesale pen and all of us hold a wholesale umbrella in case of the bad weather, so they are good tools to promote your new brand. A stress ball is a good tool to release stress.
