The CDB put every bit of their heart and soul into these performance, recorded during various shows for American troops in Iraq. It’s an amazing, high energy show with Charlie firing the guys and girls up with his patriotic anthem “In America,” and classic CDB like “The South’s Gonna Do it Again,” “The LEgend of Wooley Swamp,” “Saddle Tramp,” “Simple Man,” “Long Haired Country Boy,” “Uneasy Rider,” and “Drinkin’ My Baby Goodbye.” Additional treats include the nearly ten-minute jam of “Floreeda Road” and the gospel of “How Great Thou Art.”

The CDB rave it up on “Rocky Top,” and Charlie introduces a new song especially for the troops, “Iraq Blues.” In the grand tradition of The Charlie Daniels Band, they close with a hundred MPH version of “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”

The set also includes a special documentary on DVD, chronicling Charlies visits to the war zone. Produced by David Corlew, it’s a film every American should see, just so we never forget the men and women in harms way.
