Lee Roy Parnell is the mac daddy. He is a guitar player’s guitar player. We love to hear Lee Roy. And on Back To The Well, he dips deep into that cool water, and anyone who’s ever had a drink of well water knows, there’s nothing like it.

The title track is a soulful groove, and “Something Out of Nothing” is a beautiful tune, with some serious heart and soul. Speaking of downright pretty songs, “Old Soul” is an outstanding track as well, all about a young girl with an old soul. Wonderful songwriting. Vocals and another country hit waiting to happen.

“You Can’t Lose 'em All” is just plain funky fun, and “That’s All There Is” features some dynamic resonator guitar. “Saving Grace” is another heartfelt ballad on an album filled with beauty, spirit, and funky rhythm and blues. Lee Roy’s vocals are always pleasing, his guitar licks impeccable, and his songwriting from the heart. Back To The Well may well be his finest album yet.
