Dreams To Remember Premier October 8
10/1/07

The new Otis Redding documentary, Dreams To Remember: The Legacy of Otis Redding premiers at Grauman's Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, California, on Monday, October 8. The film includes classic footage from musicians like Steve Cropper, Duck Dunn, Booker T. Jones and many other STAX artists remembering Redding.
Redding's widow Zelma, Wayne Jackson of STAX and STAX historian Rob Bowman will discuss Redding's life after the film's screening. This premier coincides with the DVD release on the re-activated STAX label. For a summary of the Otis Redding tribute in Macon, Georgia, click here.
Things seem to heat up around here on all fronts...articles on writers, books, filmmakers, films, new CDs, musicians, juke joints and other gems of culture...along with the intersting story behind the scenes. As far as sports, for a southern college football fan this is good as it gets. The Georgia Bulldogs find themselves back in the SEC race now that Auburn upset Florida. All the DAWGS need is for South Carolina and Kentucky to take losses...but UGA can't lose to the mean and ruthless Volunteers from Tennessee this weekend. But hey, if you're a Kentucky fan...there's a pride back in the bluegrass country. Now, if the temprature drops...it would actually feel like football season. Duty calls...until tomorrow...
